Hi, I'm JK, short for Lai Joon-Keat. I was born in Malaysia and moved to Taiwan at the age of 19. I hold a Bachelor degree with a double major from the Department of Plant Industry and the Department of Biotechnology at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST). Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in the Department of Plant Industry, focusing on plant monitoring, agronomic data analysis, and modeling.

Throughout my academic journey, I have actively participated in various projects collaborating with the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute and Extension Station. Some of my notable contributions include developing phenotyping techniques for rice breeding and cultivation, implementing a disease detection system for greenhouse-cultivated tomatoes, and so on.

I'm deeply passionate about my field and committed to making valuable contributions to agricultural research and technology. By the way, I wish these remote sensing technique could also be applied on the field of environmental protection, such as carbon sink estimation and illegal burning crackdown. On the other hand, I'm also looking forward to enhance my fundamental knowledge of programming, UI design, and analysis skills in the future.
